1968- Young Historian Convention

A Young Historian Convention was to be in Owensboro in April 1968. The two-day event was to feature tours, banquets, an address by Lt. Governor Wendell Ford, a sock hop, presentation of awards and election off officers. Planning to attend the convention from Anderson County were these students from Anderson Junior High School, front row, from left: Kathy Hale, Suzanne Fields, Cheryl Duncan, Amy Ruggles, Gale Aldridge; second row: David Harley, Susan Ballard, Jane Catlett, Chris Edwards; back row: Daniel Flynn, Mrs. Nolan Perkins, club sponsor; Barry Birdwhistell, Paul Boyd, and Mrs. Jim Catlett, convention sponsor. Jim Catlett, Mrs. George Aldridge and Jim Boyd were also planning to attend.
