1953: Anderson High School FFA

This photo of the Future Farmers of America Club (FFA) appeared in the 1953 Anderson High School Annual. It was taken on the front steps of the school that now houses the Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg. The Anderson FFA club sold more tobacco than any other chapter at the Bluegrass District Tobacco Show. Glenn Jones received first prize for the best-prepared crop. Tommy Cotton received the DeKalb Award. H.G. McRay received excellent on his tobacco at the Bluegrass F.F.A. Day. Four members received their Kentucky Farmers Degree. They were Donald Cooper, Ronald Keeling, Thomas Cotton and Glenn Jones.
