Junior Seth Shelley tied for 10th place in the all-state tournament held last weekend.

Spencer County High School junior Seth Shelley qualified for the KGCA all-state 2-day championship tournament last weekend. There were only 15 teams, and 21 individuals who made the cut.

After the first day of competition, Shelley was 2 under par, putting him in 10th place. Shelley finished the second day of play birdie, birdie, leading to a tie for 10th place out of 95 players.

The road to state play started on Monday for the boys and Tuesday for the girls. The Regionals will be held at Elizabethtown County Club, the Semi State at Heritage Hills Golf course, and the State Championship at Bowling Green Country Club. “It’s top two advance or go home. It’s what we have been preparing for all year!!!”
