Six SCHS bass fishing teams represented Spencer County on April 30 at KHSAA Regionals at lake Cumberland.

The team consisting of Andy Napier and Dalton Coale finished in 16th place out of 150 boats, qualifying them to fish in the 2-day state championship on Kentucky Lake that was held on May 13 and 14.

The team didn’t win, but just making it to the state championship is an accomplishment in itself. There were only 90 boats representing the entire state of Kentucky. Spencer County has had a team in state tournament every year the high school has had a fishing years in a row. That’s something to be proud of!
