The temperatures are rising and spring is just around the corner.
The SCHS Lady Bears softball season kicks off with a road game on Monday, March 13.
Head coach Leigh Thomas lost three Seniors from last year, but has built up her roster back to 15 players. Last year’s Lady Bears ended their season with a 6-20-0 record, and 14th in the region.
The first home game of the season will be on Wednesday, March 15, against Sacred Heart at 6 p.m.
Thomas has 10 players returning: Seniors, Shelby Gregory (25); Baileigh Lee (7); Daveigh Reichenback (22); and Kylee Truitt (99) Junior, Kaelin Stewart (21); and Sophomores, Kendall Key (30); Kaylen Newton (33); Haliey Piercy (3); and Laney Sgantas (95); and Freshman, Addy Hardin (8).
New on the roster are: Senior, Alexis Nelson; Sophomore, Jenesis Bowling; and Freshmen, Lilly Long; Layla Maraman; and Madi Walker.
