Spencer County Educational Foundation (SCEF) announced the recipients of this year’s Pyramid Award Winners, with over $33,500 being granted to 20 teachers touching each school in the district.

This year, the SCEF board made the decision to save some of the donations for funding later, future projects. They also elected to begin building their general fund to truly set up the Educational Foundation to serve the teachers and students of Spencer County for years to come.

“Our decisions were tough, and with the partnership of those in administration, we looked carefully at what could be funded at the school or district level, what the impact would be in the future, and also projects that are just difficult to fund on the school or district level,” said Sara Brown.

“We are thankful for all those that applied, and love that you are always seeking to improve, and enhance the education experience at Spencer County Schools,” Brown added.

Victoria Scheich — $514 for Classroom Books

The 2024 Pyramid Awards will be available in September of 2023.
