The Lady Bears traveled to Butler to scrap against the Bearettes on Feb. 14, but were out-clawed for their seventh loss of the season, with a final score of 37-46.

The Lady Bears missed a total of 15 3-pointers, only having four players posting up points the entire game. The Bearettes only had one player with double-digit points, compared to the Lady Bears having two, but seven other Butler players were able to put up additional points, resulting in the ability to out-score and out-rebound Spencer for the win.

Sophomore Bailey Weyrauch (30) led the team in total points with 13, scoring on one out of five 2-point attempts, two out of 12 3-point attempts, and five out of nine free throws attempted, and had one rebound.

Senior Daveigh Reichenbach (22) had a total of 11 points, scoring on three out of eight 2-point attempts, and five out of eight free throws attempted, and led the team in rebounds, with 11.

Junior Ella Brown (15) had a total of eight points, scoring on three out of six 2-point attempts, and going a perfect two-for-two from the free throw line, and had eight rebounds.

Junior Skyler Mills (10) had a total of five points, scoring on one out of three 2-point attempts, and one out of two 3-point attempts, and had one rebound.

Freshman Gracie Brown (31) had three rebounds.

Freshman Braelyn Cundiff (2) had two rebounds.

Sophomore Hawley Johnson (00) had one rebound.

Sophomore Kayla Basham (1) had one rebound.

As a team, the Lady Bears had a 3-point field goal percentage of 16.7, making three out of 18 attempts, with a total 26.8 field goal percentage, making 11 out of 41. Their total free throw percentage was 63.2, making 12 out of 19 attempted, with 28 total rebounds.

The Lady Bears finished the season in second place in both the district (7-1) and the region (14-2), behind Anderson County.

The Lady Bears play Wednesday vs. #3 Shelby County in their first district tournament game. If they win that game, they will play against Collins, Woodford County, or Anderson County on Friday, Feb. 24 at 6:30 p.m. in Woodford County for the district championship.
