Oldham County Police detectives have identified the person they believe to be responsible for the robbery at Prospect Liquors Sept. 2.
The suspect, Isaac. C. Beck, 25, of Smithville, Tenn., was arrested that same afternoon by the Salem (Ind.) Police Department on unrelated charges and remains lodged in the Washington County Detention Center, according to a press release from OCPD.
Following the Sept. 2 incident, OCPD detectives coordinated with other law enforcement agencies to determine that at the time of the Prospect robbery, Beck was driving a silver Toyota Camry(originally a Nissan in witness accounts) stolen from Casey County, KY.
Beck awaits extradition from Indiana to Kentucky on an arrest warrant from Oldham District Court for first-degree robbery and first-degree wanton endangerment, police say.
OCPD thanked Kentucky State Police the Salem Police Department and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance.
