Officials from Ashbourne Farms in La Grange have announced the opening date for their latest offering, Haymarket, is June 14.

A direct extension of Ashbourne Farms, the third generation working farm and luxury event venue in La Grange, the completed Haymarket will offer a marketplace, drive-thru, on-site greenhouses and an outdoor merchandising area. Together, Haymarket will bring a new era to the ‘farm to table’ movement in Louisville and the region.

With quality and care at the center, the marketplace will offer a variety of fresh, hand-crafted, artisanal products. Many of the produce items sold at Haymarket will be hand-grown and harvested in the on-site greenhouses just steps away from the market space. With this, all the products sold at Haymarket will help support the local agricultural economy.

“Haymarket is the perfect place for people to support local businesses, including local farmers, while also learning about local agriculture and food sourcing,” Austin Musselman, steward of Ashbourne Farms and Haymarket said. “We believe the relationship between local food producers and consumers should be collaborative. Haymarket will demonstrate this by offering the opportunity for people to simultaneously invest in our local agro-economy and their own health.”

Ahead of the June 14 marketplace opening date, guests can get an early taste of Haymarket at its drive-thru service. Open daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Haymarket drive-thru offerings range from fresh locally roasted coffee, cold-pressed juices, artisanal bakery products to other grab-and-go foods including mushroom egg bites and turkey club sandwiches.

Haymarket is located at 3020 River Road near Zorn Avenue. Connect with Haymarket on Instagram or at haymkt.com for updates.
